March 2010 Gracenote has made a leap forward in audio quality and audio editing capabilities with the purchase of an 8-core Mac Pro computer, Logic 9 recording software, and the Fireface 800 audio interface.

Jan 2010 Gracenote started the year with a mix of projects including: recording a Cellist, working remotely with Nashville studio musicians on a local Project, recording session with the Freedom Band, as well as sound design and mastering audio for a local independant film-maker. Fun times!

March 2009 The family of Ernest Meekis sent Gracenote a cassette of his musical performances. The music was transferred into digital format, cleaned-up to remove tape-hiss, and enhanced for reproduction on beautifully printed Memorial CDs.

March 2009 Guttormur J. Guttormson, born at the Icelandic River MB in 1878, published many books of poetry, plays, and was a composer of music. He received many awards (including a knighthood by the King of Denmark) and his complete desk, library and papers now reside at the University of Manitoba Special Collections Dept. Gracenote recovered and enhanced a reel-to-reel recording of 'Mars' for an imminent publication.

December 2008 David X, formerly of England, now hailing from Binscarth, sought out direction to improve his songwriting. Dave was instructed to start reading Shelia Davis' seminal work on lyric writing before his Gracenote session. Over the two day session, Dave, Bruce (and JR) analysed Dave's lyric writing, applied several techniques, and transformed one of his songs into a solid piece. The next session Dave was introduced to the basics of demo recording, creating a CD of the song he had just finished.

April 2007 Gracenote has expanded its horizons to include Nashville recording sessions. On April 1st, D. Bruce Moore produced an instrumental and background vocalist session in Nashville for a Gracenote client. These tracks were brought back to the Gracenote studio for mixing and mastering. 'The level of muscianship for these Nashville players is fantastic whether they play country, gospel, or good old rock n' roll!'

January 2006 Back in the 1930's, two brothers went down to New York City and recorded two original songs onto the Latest Technology, the 78 rpm record. December 2005 The Kruse family unearthed a cassette from the 1970's containing their grandfather (may he Rest in Peace) singing and playing songs from the 'old country'. Gracenote has enhanced the quality of this recording and converted it to digital format - now the Kruse's have this precious keepsake preserved for future generations.

November 2003 Noah's Basement is a compilation CD created as a fund raiser and awareness raiser for the treatment of autism. Gracenote Productions mastered a number of the tracks and oversaw the overall mastering of this release.

September 2002 Gracenote Productions has taken two vinyl albums of the Original Polka Kings (Syl Medwid on violin) and digitally restored and re-mastered onto a single compilation CD. The first vinyl was pressed at a higher speed than was originally played, which had always disappointed the band members. Through the magic of digital technology those tracks have been returned to their original tempo.

August 2002 Gracenote arranged and recorded the music for Steinbach's Pioneer Days drama production entitled 'Dirk's Exodus'. The music was medieval in flavor (chant-like) with no time signatures and modal key signatures. The finale was a 12th Century melody harmonized using period instruments.
